  • Insurance: analysis of cost/benefit relationship of external versus self-insurance, the amounts and terms of insurances available, minimum required levels of lender and investor insurances and alternative risk mitigation strategies.

Energy Sale/Supply Strategies
  • Options analysis including the fit with current and future assets.

  • Assessment of the cost/benefit relationship between renewable, conventional and inside-the-fence supply;

  • Negotiation of supply/sale of energy and credits under relevant power purchase/energy supply agreements. This may include the forward projection of prices for energy, power and emission credits and the types of hedging instruments employed;
  • Assessment of various despatch, market segments and/or pricing alternatives available to the project.

Finance Strategy
  • Finance strategy development: optimising the risk/return balance through consideration of alternative funding sources and risk management structures.

Market Strategy
  • Development of market access, energy and commodity sale/supply strategies:

    • market supply/demand analysis and the economic implications for current and new entrants,
    • supply/demand options analysis including the fit with current and future assets;
    • assistance with the negotiation of supply/sale contracts, including hedging instruments employed and an estimation of forward prices.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Community and Stakeholder engagement strategies and execution:

    • Assessing community expectations and developing strategies to consult with stakeholders to mitigate concerns;
    • Managing regulatory interface and stakeholder objectives, including land holder use and access arrangements, local, state and federal government regulations and financier expectations for regulatory and stakeholder consultation.
