Cameron is a highly experienced property development and construction executive with an extensive range of skills acquired in a forty-year career on various project types in Australia, Asia, the United States and the Middle East.

Cameron has held leadership roles in some of the largest, most challenging and complex projects in the world, across a range of sectors, including: Pension Fund Asset Development (OSOOL) and major developments in KSA (AMAALA and MISK); the Javits Center Extensions in NYC, USA; Barangaroo Sydney; the Wandoan Coal Project (Qld, Aus); the Macquarie University and UNSW Capital Development Programs (NSW, Aus); Sydney Airport Upgrade for 2000 Olympics; and the new Hong Kong Airport Core Programme (NAPCO).

Cameron has a understanding that mega and major projects typically test the capabilities, not just of business and project teams, but of most stakeholders, many of whom have not dealt the scale and complexity of large complex projects.

Cameron has particular expertise in addressing these issues on a project-specific basis, specifically:

  • Preparing Development Strategy, Execution and effective Risk Management plans that are tailored to Business and Development objectives;
  • Being able to quickly establish project disciplines, such as Governance, robust Briefs and Change Control mechanisms
  • In assessing Project Capability requirements and establishing capable Project Teams, systems and processes;
  • Defining ‘value’ early, such that Value Engineering does not get replaced with Cost Engineering at the expense of the project objectives; and

In developing and managing Integrated Project Controls systems, enabling effective monitoring and reporting for major projects, typically using proven templates.
